Dying well at home: commissioning quality end-of-life care by the Kings Fund
24 April, 2023
Increasingly people are dying at home and there is inadequate data at a national level to understand the quality of care that is being received. The Kings Fund undertook research to find out what information about care quality and needs exists at a local level, and how it is used. NHS commissioners and social care commissioners were interviewed to find out how they assess need, plan services and assure quality of care and recently bereaved families and carers were engaged to help identify the issues that should be focused on.
