This role is part of an established clinical service with the post holder being expected to provide pharmacy technical support on inpatient wards in mental health and hospice settings across the region and to participate in the development and support the delivery of a safe and effective medicines management.

Driving is essential for this role.

Essential Criteria

• A qualified pharmacy technician (NVQ Level 3, BTEC in Pharmacy)
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
• Evidence of CPD record
• Medicines reconciliation trained

Desirable Criteria

• Palliative care/mental health experience is highly desirable
• Previous experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Duties will include:

• Patient medication reconciliation
• Undertake ward top up
• Support in managing and maintaining pharmaceutical stock levels
• Assist with destruction of Controlled Drugs
