NICE NG83 Oesophago-gastric cancer: assessment and management in adults

In July 2023 new recommendations were made for this guideline on palliative management of luminal obstruction with no curative intent for adults with oesophageal or oesophago-gastric junctional cancer.
This NICE guideline on oesophago-gastric cancer was updated in July 2023. As well as covering the assessment and management of oesophago-gastric cancer, it aims to reduce variation in practice through better organisation of care and support. It makes seven recommendations covering:
- Information and support
- Organisation of services
- Assessment after diagnosis
- Radical treatment
- Palliative management
- Nutritional support
- Follow-up
