Phenelzine (Nardil) re-licensed and available in UK

Phenelzine has now been relisted in the BNF and is available on prescription.

After a few years of being unavailable in the UK, phenelzine (Nardil) has been re-licensed and no longer needs to be specially imported. It has been relisted in the BNF and is available on prescription.

Phenelzine is a monoamine-oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) antidepressant and there are dietary restrictions that need to be followed by the patient to prevent an acute hypertensive episode.
